Mrs. Shireen Saleem Khan is in the field of Early Childhood Education (ECE) as a practitioner and a part Usman Public School since 1999.The areas of her major interest are Child & Educational Psychology . Currently she is serving the institution as a Deputy Director ECE. She has been a part of different material development projects at different Educational Research Institutes. She has developed a set of phonics based, integrated workbooks ‘Starter’ for pre-primary children. She has done her Masters in Clinical Psychology from University of Karachi and her thesis topic was “family structure and its effect on the emotional development of children”, did her M.Ed. from Department of Teacher Education, University of Karachi and currently doing MPhil in Educational Psychology. Moreover she has received extensive training on Remedial Teaching based on I.E.P including counseling, Play & Art therapy. Completed Diploma courses from AKU-IED, ERI and ERDC with the specialization in ECE. Worked as a master trainer & conducted workshops for well reputed schools of Karachi & Sadaqabad. Currently developing and improvising modules of ECE for Center of Educational Excellence & Development (CEED) and conducting workshops for trainers & teachers. .
